Megan McMillen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner and LPCC Supervisor. Megan began her path toward helping others in 2006 and has worked in a variety of settings including; a Domestic Violence Shelter, Psychiatric Hospital, Community Mental Health agency and a Residential Treatment Facility. Megan completed her MEd in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville in 2011.
Megan has experience working with a wide range of people with varying treatment needs, so she is extremely adaptable in her therapy approach. Megan uses traditional therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT and Brainspotting, as well as wellness tools in her sessions. Megan, who has her own experience with anxiety and depression, inherently recognizes the importance of taking care of one’s body, mind, spirit, environment and relationships. Megan has been a practitioner of yoga for twenty years, teaches meditation and has knowledge in exercise, new age spirituality, herbs and a certification in nutrition consultation.
Megan has a passion for helping teach people to utilize their intuition and strengths to work through current issues and build a positive foundation to better navigate future obstacles. She specializes in depression, anxiety, improving self-esteem, processing trauma, LGBT issues, building healthy relationships, teaching assertiveness, creating healthy boundaries, and most importantly self love. Megan will work with you to correct any unhealthy thoughts and behavioral patterns that are keeping you stuck or disliking yourself and help you blossom into your healthiest self. Megan welcomes people of all faiths, sexual orientation, gender expression, ethnicity and race.
